 Hogan, Bischoff, Flair to TNA
« Thread Started on Oct 29, 2009, 10:46pm »

Pork told me this the other day. TNA just signed on Eric Bischoff, apparently to work in the back for bookings and storylines and stuff, not really to be on TV. They also signed Hulk Hogan who supposedly is coming in to push younger talent, and it's been rumored that Ric Flair signed with them as well for reasons I'm not sure of.

This is the best wrestling news I've heard in a long time. Really just for Bischoff. If ANYBODY can turn a wrestling organization around for the better and have it compete with Vince in a big way, it's him. Not only that, but this will run Vince Russo off, who has completely ruined TNA. It's well known that he and Bischoff hate each other.

I'm so fucking pumped about this. Now I can start watching TNA again. Look out WWE!

Cool. Competing with Bischoff again might just be the kick in the pants that WWE needs. And if TNA gets better in the process then that's even more cool.

Hell yeah. I tuned in to the show after I heard the news and they had a huge segment on Hogan joining up with TNA and Bischoff announced him. That was all Bischoff did though. Still no word on Flair. However, the show I watched was so much better than the last couple of shows. It seems things are finally straightening up a little bit over there.

I can't get excited about Hulk Hogan anymore. He's just too old, and his wrestling is for shit anymore, so mostly what he does is work the crowd for like 45 minutes straight.

Yeah well, I agree with that. But from a wrestling standpoint, he's still very over with the crowds and what he's basically doing in TNA is he's going to use his name and face to promote the company and he's going to push the younger talent. He's not there to win any belts. So it's for the right reasons that he's there.

Scott Steiner was supposed to be the same way, just there to push the younger talent. But he started winning belts and shit and that's what turned me off of him. But the company at that time was being run by Vince Russo, a fucking idiot who should've never been introduced to the wrestling business by anybody.
